  • Haskayne School of Business MBA Internship Program - This internship program is a joint initiative between the Haskayne School of Business and UTI. The goal is to enhance company creation initiatives by dedicating interns to work exclusively with start up companies. Students are required to have completed one year of their MBA program and need to commit a minimum of one year to the internship, to a maximum of two years. Students will have the opportunity to be involved in sales, marketing, and business plan development.   • Southern Alberta Intellectual Property (SAIP) Network - UTI (University of Calgary), Mount Royal College, Red Deer College, Olds College, University of Lethbridge and SAIT Polytechnic are all members of the Southern Alberta Intellectual Property (SAIP) Network.The SAIP Network was formed in 2005 to draw on the collective knowledge of its members in the area of intellectual property mobilization. This collaboration will increase the benefit to Albertans of our growing investment in research. The Network works together to enhance technology commercialization projects by extending value-added services from our institutions, to those in the Network and to industry partners.   • Ingenuity Enterprise - Ingenuity Enterprise is a joint effort of UTI and TEC Edmonton, to help transform technological innovations into business ventures in our respective regions. With more than $3.2 million in funding over three years from Alberta Ingenuity, Ingenuity Enterprise will enhance existing programs, create new activities, and provide a province-wide framework to accelerate the vibrant entrepreneurial culture across Alberta.

    Ingenuity Enterprise will deliver and promote five programs in northern and southern Alberta. The programs will light the fires for student entrepreneurs at Alberta’s leading research universities. The programs include the appointment of two entrepreneurs-in-residence, business plan competitions, workshops and other opportunities for students to think creatively about business.
