University Technologies International (UTI) is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in technology commercialization, creating business opportunities from scientific innovation. We are recognized internationally for our expertise and success in protecting, marketing and commercializing technology and innovation.
Part of the University of Calgary, UTI was launched June 1, 1989, with a mandate to provide services on all matters related to technology transfer and commercialization. UTI serves a wide variety of research-based clients in post-secondary institutions, government research laboratories, industrial research and development installations, and private facilities.

Research Transition Facility
Office and lab space are available for technology-based start-up companies. University Technologies International assists in the management of the University of Calgary Research Transition Facility. This multi-tenant, not-for-profit facility assists start-up companies with attractive lease rates and subsidies for priority tenants.
